About Me

My photo

God desires that ALL people would accept God's love and salvation through Jesus Christ. God has compelled me to share information with the world relating to the biblical seven year tribulation in order to share Truth in a deceived world.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it. (John 1:1-5)

Jesus answered, "I AM the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)

Next month’s naval exercise will take place in the Black Sea

At this stage, broader military cooperation with NATO serves Israel’s interests, and may bolster Israel strategically should it decide to act unilaterally against Iran’s nuclear capability.

In another move to enhance military ties, a NATO delegation brought AWACS surveillance aircraft to Israel a few months ago in an effort step up cooperation in the war on terrorism.

NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) was set up by the United States after World War II as a means of binding Western European countries into a military alliance to deter the Soviet Union from expanding its sphere of influence in Europe. An attack on one NATO country is considered an attack on all member states, theoretically requiring all NATO members to go to war.

U.S. President George W. Bush told Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert in Washington last week that the U.S. would rally to Israel’s defense if that nation is attacked.

Fraser Institute - The Case for the Amero

The United States has less to gain from a monetary union than Canada and Mexico but there will be some benefits. Monetary union will reduce the threat to the power of the US dollar resulting from the greater use of the euro in place of the dollar in the rest of the world. Further, the United States will benefit from having more stable and prosperous countries as neighbours. When the United States joined other international organizations like the IMF, the World Bank, the World Trade Organization, and the North American Free Trade Agreement, the expected economic and political gains appeared to offset the surrender of some national sovereignty. In this tradition, the United States may well find it worthwhile to join the proposed monetary union.

Theology, Research ... - Communion in Crisis: the Way Forward for Evangelicals (I)

I suppose that one way of answering this is to ask whether Christianity itself has a future in countries like New Zealand. Cullum Brown's book, The Death of Christian Britain, suggests that the marked decline of the mainstream churches in the UK has now reached the point where Christianity will cease to be a significant presence in those islands. Some forecast that only 1% of Britons will go to church by 2016. The situation in the UK parallels that in France and other European countries, in Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Church going is in serious decline, and those who go to church are elderly. In New Zealand, according to the 2001 census as many as 26% of respondents claimed no religion, while a further 17.2% did not specify, making a total of 43.2%. The corresponding figures in Australia were 15.3% and 12.7%. It looks very much as though the triumph of secularism, predicted by the sociologists in the 1960s, has come to pass.

And yet, that judgement appears far too simplistic. Dr Kevin Ward of Knox College Dunedin has given us a learned account of the real situation in his inaugural lecture entitled, 'Is New Zealand's Future Churchless??' In this interesting paper, Dr Ward makes the point that the census reply 'no religion' really means 'not connected to a Church' and that in fact many of the people who would answer in this way or by not specifying, would profess to be committed to spirituality rather than religion.

The picture that emerges is of a religious society, but not a Christian one. Christianity is faced with two major problems in the drift from organised religion.

The first is that Christianity is in essence a revealed faith, not what you may call a natural one. Human beings are, if you like, naturally religious, naturally spiritual. But they are not naturally Christian. For the Christian faith to be sustained, it needs to be transmitted intentionally and adopted intentionally. The favoured ideas of much contemporary Christianity such as inclusiveness and tolerance will not hold and transmit the faith. We need to recognise its contours and its limits; we need to teach it; we need to know what the Bible says; we need to have some rudimentary account of Christian doctrine. Spirituality in what has been a Christian community will begin with Christian notions, such as the importance of Jesus, that God is personal, that there is an afterlife. But as time passes these notions will disconnect more and more from the original corpus of Christianity and a new and different religion will emerge.

That is, in some ways it will be different. I predict, however, that in other ways it will simply be the coming again of the old religious notions of paganism. There are only a certain number of ways of thinking about the world, our relationship to it and the spiritual forces which may or may not run it. Our natural ways of being religious will be revived; there will be a supermarket of beliefs; each individual will be responsible for his or her faith; truth will hardly matter. According to Professor Peter Jones, who has written extensively about these developments, we will resume our natural monistic view of the world in which all is spirit and in which there is not and cannot be a transcendent Creator.

The second problem for us is that there is no such thing as a churchless Christianity. We may suggest, for example, that the way forward for Christianity is simply to embrace the new interest in spirituality, to accept that it is going to be individualistic, to encourage people to create a faith which best suits them, and not to insist that such a faith includes the church.

As I have already said, however, Christianity is a revealed faith; we do not take it on our own terms but on its own terms. There are distinct limits to what is Christian and what is not. In Christianity, God is committed to truth and hence to the repudiation of error. We have never believed that Unitarianism or Arianism were compatible with Christianity. And without doubt it is a faith which as from its inception bound believers together and insisted that they minister to one another as members of what the New Testament calls, 'the Body of Christ'. In short Christianity cannot survive without 'church'.

115 outbreaks of bird flu reported in Romania

The number of reported outbreaks had increased by 27 on Monday alone, Tibu said. The total as of Sunday was just 88 outbreaks.

The bird flu was spreading very rapidly in Romania, Tibu added.

Currently, just two of the six districts of the Romanian capital have not reported any outbreaks.

Local authorities on Monday continued large-scale disinfection and quarantines in the districts with reported outbreaks, as well as culling poultry raised by residents.

Indonesia's approach to bird flu concerns Abbott. 30/05/2006. ABC News Online

"We would be requiring the captains of all incoming planes to make positive declarations as to the status of their passengers," he said.

"Any plane that arrived with infected passengers would be placed in quarantine, what we wouldn't be doing though is ordering the shutdown of all international transport."

The Federal Government has changed its plans for allocating anti-viral drugs in the event of an influenza pandemic.

The Government had previously planned to give stockpiled medicines to a wide range of essential service workers if there was an outbreak of influenza, such as a bird flu pandemic.

But a revised strategy released today proposes only giving the drugs to those infected, and health workers treating them.

Mr Abbott says the previous aim is not feasible.

"We came to the conclusion in consultation with the states that the attempt to keep prophylaxis going for the up to 1 million people who would normally be deemed essential was simply not going to work, there would never be enough anti-virals to do so," he said.

People's Daily Online -- Researcher says human-to-human infection of bird flu taking place in Indonesia

As the disease expands all over the world, experts fear that the virus can mutate into a certain form that easily transmits from human to human, which will kill millions of people.

Some 27 out of 33 provinces in Indonesia have been contracted with bird flu, while human fatality stands at 32 and infections at 43, according to the WHO.

The moral failure of the German Pope - Opinion from Israel, Ynetnews

Yes, times have indeed changed. It's true, pope Ratzinger, Benedict XVI, did not visit Auschwitz as part of the March of the Living. He is not the chief rabbi of Israel. He is the head of the Catholic Church, and Jesus is his God.

But especially in light of his lofty position, he is also a spiritual guide for a billion Catholics worldwide. And what did his visit to Auschwitz tell them? He forgot anti-Semitism, forgot anti-Jewish hatred, forgot the sins of his church and his people and made due with a general denunciation of hatred.

Shira Oziry, director of missions of the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI)

These Ethiopians, known as Falash Mura, differ from those who came in '84 and '91. the earlier arrivals were all certifiably Jewish throughout the generations; the newcomers just setting foot on Israeli soil may or may not be Jews according to halachah (Jewish law).

The Falash Mura are, by definition, Ethiopians whose ancestors converted to Christianity but who consider themselves Jews. Some have become religiously observant while waiting to enter Israel; others have not. Some women, for example, have crosses permanently tattooed on their foreheads, although this, too, may not be definitive proof of their remaining allegiance to Christianity.

No matter how many Falash Mura make their way to Israel, currently at a rate of 300 a month, the same number (around 20,000) always remains in Addis or Gondar awaiting their turn to immigrate.

Oziry claims that the 20,000 Falash Mura now in the pipeline will be absorbed into Israel by 2007; then the gates will be closed. Only time will tell if her statement proves accurate.

Meanwhile, many in Israel and the Diaspora community criticize the Israeli government for the slow pace of Ethiopian absorption. The finance ministry counters that absorbing Ethiopians costs $100,000 each, owing to the deep educational, cultural and economic gaps that must be bridged. Older Ethiopians, for example, will more likely than not spend their last years or decades on welfare.

"All aliyah is costly in the beginning,” Hoffman counters, "but it more than pays for itself in the long run.” Furthermore, he adds, "Israel found money for the Gaza disengagement, and that cost a lot more than $100,000 a person.”

Money is the last thing on anyone's mind as we witness the emotional highpoint of the newcomers' first hours in Israel: family reunions.

Rabbi to the rescue: Orthodox family counselor is an unlikely reality-TV star

“From the time I was 16, I believed Judaism has a wider message that could help heal the world of a very high divorce rate,” Boteach said. “Judaism is not focused on the grand mysteries of the universe but on the small questions in life: How do you behave? How do you treat others?”

Some observers say the show’s effort to distill Jewish wisdom for a general audience has rarely been attempted.

“He’s trying to take an ancient tradition that has been familial, tribal and inwardly focused, and translate it into an American idiom so it can benefit the larger society,” said Rabbi Irwin Kula of the National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership, a Jewish think tank in Manhattan. “He’s essentially bringing the Torah to the marketplace of ideas, and there are very few people doing this.”

Yokogawa path of enlightenment

Here, the next generation Internet protocol IPv6 and wireless communications will play the major role.

IPv6, the new standard for the Internet’s addressing system, is gaining recognition and will change the features of communication networks everywhere, including industrial automation. Compared with the current IPv4 system, IPv6 provides practically unlimited addressing capacity. The IPv4’s addressing capacity is up to four billion, which is insufficient to provide an IP address to all humans on Earth (the world population is now 6.5 billion plus). IPv6 allows a unique IP address to be assigned to all intelligent devices. Your refrigerator, TV, etc. will have their IP addresses and communicate with a network. A similar situation will apply to field instruments and sensors of industrial automation. IPv6 allows the user to access instruments and sensors by an IP address, enabling instruments and sensors to send their messages over networks. The plug-and-play and security futures of IPv6 give many benefits to industrial automation systems.

John 6:66 The Ultimate Bible Code

I’ve done biblical studies a lot over the years, and yet, not nearly enough. I was more familiar than most about major Christian apocalyptic facts and theories, but certainly not an expert. Little did I know that God would lead me on an adventure to startling revelations regarding the end-times . . . our times.

Olmert, Peres to attend Int’l Water Conference

According to Trigger-Foresight Ltd’s "Agamim 10" research, the increasing global shortage in the quantity and quality of portable water has led to the development of technological and regulatory solutions, such as water quality standardization, processes of privatizing infrastructure systems, generating new water sources, water quality treatment solutions; all these factors create business opportunities for the companies operating in this industry, the study indicated.

Primary Political Parties of Israel

Primary Political Parties of Israel

Shas: Breaking the Israeli mould

Shas - the Hebrew acronym for the Sephardic Guardians of the Torah - is the only religious party in Israel with real political clout.

Shas has held cabinet posts in governments of both sides since 1992 - apart from a brief interruption in 2000 - and its spiritual leader commands a following of hundreds of thousands of the ultra-Orthodox faithful of Middle Eastern origin.

The party's insistence on the supremacy of the Jewish scriptures has posed serious questions about Israeli democracy.

Party policy is set by its Council of Torah Sages, which the rabbi dominates. It is a world of apocalyptic religious discourse where decisions belong to God and those who interpret God's law.

From the sages, through the politicians, and down to the party's grassroots, Shas is also the master of sectarian politics, representing a minority which feels discriminated against in all spheres of life in Israel.

And in the past it has shown that it can paralyse or extend the life of an Israeli government.

Developments in Israeli Sepharadic Orthodoxy

The upshot of this was the creation of a Sepharadic equivalent to Aguddat Israel, named "Shas," with its own Council of Torah Sages.

Mr. Clinton’s New Job: The Ins (And Outs) of an Obscene Salary

But what, some (Clinton sycophants) will ask, about the former President’s “investment” of his “valuable” time? Well, in assessing the time factor, no sensible person will count the “500 hours a year” Mr. Clinton spends with Mr. Burkle flitting about the world “to attend conferences and meetings with foreign leaders” (for doing so would slap real working people with an insult that comes from a place beyond obscene).

So, to remain in the realm where only ordinary obscenity is possible, we’ll assume that Mr. Clinton will actually “work” 100 hours a year for five years to pocket (let’s say) two of those “tens of millions” without ever punching a time card. (No punching of time cards, indeed, for it appears that Mr. Burkle must certainly believe that “If you can’t trust an ex-President, who can you trust to tell the truth.”)

Now, to some arithmetic. A little division reveals that $20 million for 500 hours of “work” comes out to a coldly obscene $40,000/hour. And let’s not forget that Mr. Clinton’s salary becomes bitterly obscene when we consider that to “earn” it he doesn’t have to provide 15 (not to mention 25 or 35) years of real, full-time, very important leadership for a company such as Wal-Mart (that employs 1.7 million people who create sales of $285 billion every year).

To cinch the case for the obscenity of this pay deal, it is tempting to say more (for example, if Mr. Clinton were to earn $30 million, his salary of $60,000/hour would fall into the category of “cosmically obscene” because it would have shot out of this world far into the frozen stillness of space).
